Bouts of Doubts

Can you imagine, someone who is already 26, still have no direction in life?

Talked to someone recently and he got me thinking, "What do I have passion for?"
When you have the passion to do something, you will do it just like how you would care and love someone you want to spend your life with.

I realise, I don't have a passion. :(
Grew up in the kind of environment that only tells me that I need to work, earn money and stay alive. My very first passion was music, I remember having a little key board, started playing "Mary had a little Lamb" & "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on my own. I can remember how proud my parents were that I could identity the "Do Re Mi" without guidance but ... they just couldn't afford piano lesson then.

So I played till I got sick of playing the same thing.

I moved on to many other "hobbies" and this is why, perhaps till now, I am still the same - Jack of all Trades, master of none.

Nurturing a child is important, perhaps it just wasn't in parents to nurture their kids in the past. I really hope I will be a good parent in the future who can give my child the kind of support and love they need.

To me, Traveling is the only thing on my mind - that I am pretty good at. I really love traveling and exploring new grounds, culture and meeting people.

If only people would stop making comments on how I should be giving my parents more money than to spend it on traveling. *sigh*

Am I about to lose the only passion I have in life which is, travelling?

To people, passion is an entitlement.

To me, responsibilities SHOULD BE my only passion.

There is a lack of updates as I am starting to find this meaningless.

Someone once told me that we should spend our time wisely because every second counts.

That's right, I took in the advice.

Now I am busy every single day, learning as much as I possibly can.

I hope life will be kinder to me, I am trying my best.

People come & go in your life, just within months, I had quite a few people entering and leaving my life. Some willingly/not knowingly and some just choose to leave/ask to leave.

There is no good and bad, it is what can we live with.
What we deem is right might be wrong to another.
What is going through our mind, only we know and we will never be able to tell another person how and what exactly are we thinking.

The "theatre stage" was taught in class today.
What you see and observe from one person might be different from what is actually going on in their mind.

So don't judge.

Difficult but I try not to judge anyone because afterall... we are just different.

Have I Disappear?

I wanted to blog about the Phuket trip, but it brought about too many painful memories.

Don't get me wrong, I had so much fun while I was there, thanks to BFF Jusmin Tan for arranging everything and her cousin + gf were wonderful travel mates :)

You see, the Phuket trip was a deciding factor of our future for the ex & me.

It was my birthday gift to him.

My world came crashing went he decided not to go.
Staring at the room in the villa that we were suppose to take, was too painful.

I had not been myself.

So Many Things !

I have so many things to do till it's like I have an agenda to work/tire myself to death or something. I really wish I have 48 hours. I do not understand people who have so much time to waste.

I have a major assignment deadline coming up next monday, god bless me cuz I will be flying off to Phuket on Friday morning.

I hope I can finish my report by thursday night and finish up the referencing and touch up by the time I am back on Sunday.

I have not plan my Taiwan Itinerary and I am getting anxious, so far I had booked my hostel in Taipei for the night of 11th & 12th Aug. Have not plan my itinerary yet but I hope to do something special for myself on the 12th Aug. It will be my first time celebrating my birthday overseas on my own, interesting. :)

I really do not wish to plan my itin, but I'm such a control freak that I need to know where I am going and what I will be doing, if not, I will end up doing nothing. :(

Exams coming up too, 8th and 10th Aug. I am not anxious, I don't know why. Maybe not yet but I will start studying on the week of 25th Jul, so I have 2 weeks to tackle 2 subjects, I hope I'll pass this semester. Now I am considering whether should I take up 2 or 3 modules next semester. Work is piling up and I am so not emotionally stable. :( 2 would be good?

There are a few things that I can't wait for.

22nd Jul - HRG Chill out night, first time organising a small event in our office with booze and snacks, should be fun. After which, heading to Miss Earth 2011 Coronation to support my dearest Maricelle, Jody, Chloe & Lavigne, also the finalist of 2011, I'm rooting for Joreis, she's really tall and I think she's very pretty. :)
Haven't spoken much to her even though I knew her over CLEO Career talk, she seem like a brainy girl too. May the best girl wins! :)

23rd Jul - Dearest Jasmine Wedding dinner! Oh mannnn... one by one becoming two by two. :) hahaha. So happy for them la, being together is easy, staying together is an art that I have not yet master. Can't wait can't wait!

29th Jul - arranged for a photo with Trevor, a night shoot at MBS, not much details as yet but so far so good. Should be pretty confirm. *excited*

We are victims of a tangled thread.
The harder we tried to untangle it, the more complicated the knots became.

It got so bad that it is beyond hope.

All that, maybe it isn't anyone's fault that I am still single & no where near being married, it's my own fault.

Chanced upon someone’s blog and I don’t know how should I be feeling.

For the past year, I had always thought that person hated me, bitched about me or perhaps told the whole world about me but… it all did not happen, at least in her blog.

I am thankful for her being this understanding and magnanimous.
Really, thank you.
It was a heavy stone lifted out from my heart.

I had been having too much fun lately that I am neglecting my studies - what's new?
I do not want to go back to my “poly days” where all I do was to have fun, well, the irresponsible days.

Hence, I had "applied leave" from baby to do my stuffs this weekend.

2 assignment deadlines and presentation coming up, I'm really glad I dropped 1 module. It's the best decision I had made for this semester. I was too ambitious, till I got my results. Disappointment was what I felt, even though classmates kept telling me, "passed good already lo", I still can't get over the fact that I did not credit 2 modules. :(

What's a person taking 3 modules with 2 pass & 1 credit to talk aloud about wanting to be a Psychologist in the future? Will I even make it to masters?

Yes, here I am giving myself the unnecessary added pressure. That's just me.

I am loving what I have now, maybe I am getting old, but I am starting to be much more appreciative of things I have. Things that I had always wanted doesn't seem to be that important anymore.

I just want a peaceful & blissful life (with loadsa money). :)

Bleeding.

I went to sleep last night with a teary eye and bleeding heart.

I woke up this morning, forgotten I have a wound at the back of my mouth, brushed it too hard and till now it cannot stop bleeding.

The bleeding heart surreal, but the bleeding in my mouth is definitely real. I'm hurt, inside out.

I feel god damn stress because I have an assignment due tomorrow and all these are making me unable to concentrate.

Then again, what can be worst than what is happening in Japan?

If I wanna do great things in life, I need to move on.

Yes, I fell again, maybe because of my own character or maybe something else.

There is no need to play the blame game.

I realised as I sat down at the side during my short stint at Dbl O with Sue earlier, that having fun is not what I want anymore. In the past, clubbing my night away was my remedy for a heart break situation, now I just want to bury myself under my sheets and not do anything. It could be that I'd grown past that stage where fun is all that matters, it could also be that I simply have no energy left inside of me as I need to juggle work, studies, family and a relationship with the man in my life and all other aspects.

I feel tired & lonely.
I feel that everything is going out of control and I am going out of control.

After all, I am the type who tends to let my emotions control me.
I have difficulty sealing that emotional part of me.
Sometimes I wish that I could just simply throw all my emotions into a ziplock bag, tuck it somewhere that no one could see. When required, I will let some out and do some magic.

But just what are emotions? Something that is exceedingly hard to define?
Things are no longer as simple as, "I love you, you love me."

Some people blame others for everything while some, blames themself all the time.

I belong to the latter.

When my mum complains that she's tired from work, I blame myself for not being capable enough to bring money home so she will not have to work.

When my sis refuse to go to school, I blame myself for not guiding her properly to choose what she really want to do.

When my little sis shows behavior of a tyrant, I blame myself & maybe my mum ( a little) that we do not spend enough time with her to guide her and show her some tender loving care.

When i quarrel with my boyfriend, I blame myself for not being patient enough, loving enough, supportive enough, being so emotional, being a lousy girlfriend, etc...

These are just some examples.
Why do I blame myself all the time?
Why am I so hard on myself?

Maybe I had enough.

I believe one day, all my guilt will be gone.

Lecture today was about "Famïly", where I come from, family is a big thing.
No one is closer than family and if anyone tries to be funny, we'll do what we do to make sure he/she don't get a chance to join this family. That aside, we discussed the dynamics of "family meals". Seriously, how often do we have a proper meal with our family? Go ponder.

I do strongly believe that a strong and supportive family is very important but how much is too much? How little is too little?

I'd been through this, many times.

As usual, I need to do a disclaimer that I love my mum & dad and had never blamed them for anything they had done or had not done for me.

How they had decided to shape me into a person I am today, was pre-destined.

I had never been the type who will ask my parents to buy things for me, well maybe when I was younger, like much younger, but ever since the arrival of my 2 baby sis, I'd never really got what I want. I could only look with envy at friends wearing the latest Baby-G, playing the latest edition of Game Boy and there was a bag that was really in style during my sec school days... I kinda forgot the brand name, some "Sky" thingy and it comes in various colours, it was not cheap. I could only look... until I started to work part time during sec 1.

With all the money I earned, I saved and buy the things that I want. Pager, bag, CDs, cosmetic, pencil case, nice lunches & what not... It eventually becomes a habit that I don't ask anyone for anything because I believe there is nothing that I could not get for myself and I stopped "begging" my parents to get me anything at all.

Then I grew a little older, had boyfriends and some of them showered with me gifts (expensive or not), nice little things and sometimes I get what I want just by opening my mouth and tell them, "I kinda like that bag."

It was that easy.

It was a luxury having people to pamper you but ultimately, nothing comes free, with all those gifts, it came conditions. Condition that I have to be this, I have to be that, why am i like this, why am I like that? Why do I have such big ego and why can't I be less independent and head strong? Then also comes the cheating, the lying, the betrayal... I ask myself, must I go through all that?

Looking at my friends getting married, one by one, I am starting to evaluate myself. Is there really something wrong with me?

Is my mum right that I am a super egoistic woman that no man could handle?
Yes, my mum also said that I am very "zi yi wei shi", that's her very exact word, but can I tell her that it was the environment that forced me to become the way I am?

I learnt everything on my own, I fell numerous times, I went through shits that no one could imagine because there were simply no one to guide me along, all this through and through, I keep falling, failing, crying & even to a point of killing myself.

Am I not empathetic towards people? I am definitely, I know how it feels like to be "neglected" and feeling helpless. I hate that kind of feeling, which is why I showered people dear to me with all those attention.

But I am no god. I have temper. I lose patience with people who constantly talks about doing something and never get it done, it is wrong to feel this way? Why do I feel that I am being penalise for every single comment I made. Haven't I been a good enough sister? Cousin? Best friend? Girlfriend? Is it true that if all along you had been the good guy, suddenly, you were different and people starts to have negative thoughts about you?

All I can say is, even a pair of fantastic shoes wear off after a period of time with harsh condition, can't I, as a human being, a woman, be tired of playing the pillar for people sometimes and wants to have people to be the pillar of strength for me?

I am sincerely sorry if I had stopped you from pursuing what you want and want to follow my "guideline" to a stable life. I won't stop you anymore. You may have your freedom back.

My point is, just keep quiet & do get your f**king work done.

There is no point for me to be whining and complaining about how tired I am, but when I don't, it doesn't mean that I am not. Mum asked if I wanna quit my job and find a simple job that could sustain my study loan, I went online and try to look for a "suitable" simple job...

To be very honest, I would rather take all the stress now than choosing the easy way out.

I'm just not the type who would go to the exit door & say bye bye whenever things get rough. So after all the internal debate, I decided to just work hard, study hard & play hard, all at once.

I am going to ninja between the Flea market & class tomorrow, hope I can survive that.

Going to class tomorrow would really kill alot of brain cells cuz I had missed 2 classes - no thanks to having bad cramps + bangkok. Maybe... I have no affinity with RESEARCH topic. *Ponders*

I remember it was Applied Research that got me kicked out of poly - Yes, I flung the exam + supp paper - Twice, NICE right? But the 2nd time taking the supp paper, I got "betrayed" cuz a close friend then, knew that lecturer had informed us the wrong date, yet she didn't tell me, so I missed the exam, committed suicide cuz I know I was gonna get kicked out of school. Survived the suicide and still got kicked out of school.

Stupid me, I could have been more responsible for my own actions, well, we learn along the way isn't it?

Lost Sheep.

Bangkok was great fun but that's another post altogether.

Now, I am worried... the consequences of slacking is more than I can bare.

Just 1 week of missing from class, I feel like there is so much that is needed to be done.

I was so into my studies and I thought everything was under control but right now... I feel that everything is out of control.

I have no idea what is what, when is the assignment, what to include in the submission, etc.

Should have took 2 modules.

Why did I choose this path?

I am tired & stressed out... if only he could understand.

I really do not want to jinx myself right at the beginning of the New Year but I strongly believe that 2011 is going to be better than 2010.

Nevertheless, 2010 was eventful, fruitful & pretty delightful for most of the months.

January & February 2010 was quite a rollercoaster due to some issues with Glaxis Travels & also some "love/relationship" issue.

Everything seems slightly clearer in March after I start working in HRG and patiently waiting for my boy to come back from India. I decided to give this relationship a shot when he is in India. Why? ... I wanted to know if I am strong enough to withstand 2 months of not having someone around me. I did it.

April, my baby came back & it was all good. We went on a short holiday with Kaikai & her hubby to Batam, it was fun! :)

I dun recall what I did in May - Jun, I guess it is mostly work work work & love love love. Hanging out with friends... Etc etc. Oh yes, went to Kukup with my baby's friends & got to know them better, I am just so happy that I am able to getting along with them. :)

In July, things started to took a change when I was shortlisted as one of the contestant for Miss Earth Singapore 2010. It was thrilling & Exciting because never in my life I would imagine myself in a pageant. So from August - October, it was hard work, training my mind, body & soul to be a deserving contestant of Miss Earth SIngapore, attending Events, classes, rehearsals and so on... I was so busy that I deferred yet another semester of studies. Through this pageant, I really know who are the people that I should place them close to my heart & also see the "real world". I had also made some great friends with several girls and it was wonderful training & learning with them. They are all really great girls & I am blessed to get to know them. At the end, I didn't win any title (which i really totally didn't expect to win anyway) but I got into the top 8 finalist ( which is something that I also didn't expect). *Pat on my own shoulder*

Had a short getaway to Hong Kong with baby in Sep, it was Awesome. :)

Went through another 3 weeks of living without my baby cuz of training in October (during Ms Earth Finals), zzzz. I was sad that baby couldn't be there with me on the Coronation night but I am so thankful for him just being patient, supportive & a great listener through that amazing journey of mine.

Nov & Dec was tough as I switch role, from Hotel Audit Consultant to Travel Consultant. Work is super stressful & a BIG challenge cuz I'd never done ticketing my whole life & people who knows me knows I FEAR ticketing. LOL. Anyhow... I am doing it & well, I am enjoyin' the learning process. I dun believe in being stuck in a job for too long because you'll never get to learn more.

Also, my baby & I kept arguing, fighting and ... what not. *Sigh*

I fainted 2 days before NYE & was admitted to hospital due to low blood sugar level and I was supposed to stay in the hospital cuz I hit the back of my head, haha.. but I refused cuz I am scared of hospital stay. I am sick, but I don't know how to tell people about my illness, it's rather complicated, if you are really concern you could ask me personally. So after 2 shots of glucose & 2 hours later, I went home.

Count down was simple supper at Yishun 925 followed by movie "the tourist". Simplicity is love. :)

So ever since 2011, everything turns for the better. I'd been eating more normally &... happier, I feel healthier.

I am so super psych that school starts on the coming Monday. Maybe people think I am crazy for being so excited about studying but I don't care, it is going to be tiring, stressful & probably sucidal, I am just happy that I get the opportunity to study.

Right now I don't wish for anything except great health to see me through all these.

Chinese New Year is coming, 3 more weeks to be exect and 5 more weeks to my Bangkok trip with my baby boy, damn I miss Bangkok. In 2008, i went like 3 times, so I guess it actually make it up to 2009 when I didn't even went at all. Ho ho ho.

I felt alive again after spending the long weekend with my man.

He was away for a 3 weeks, I realise something - I can live without him by my side, but I really don't want to.

4th Nov - 0046hrs CI7923 landed at Singapore Changi Airport T1.

5th Nov - Checked in Swissotel Stamford

My cousin managed to give us a complimentary upgrade to the Grand Room!

We got 3 views, Garden Pool, City & Harbour view! Still, nothing beats the spaciousness of the room, you can totally play hide & seek or blind mice. Hoho!
So we went out to eat...

Fruits Paradise at Raffles City

I had the Strawberry Mango while baby had the chocolatey Banana Choc.

After the dessert, we realised that we were kindaa hungry and we need proper food. We ended up ordering Meatball Pizza from the Skinny Pizza! I was so eager to chomp down the pizza that I'd forgotten to take pictures of it! Ha haha! It was so goooooooooooooooooood!

Other than the pizza, we bought some fries from erm... Fat fries? I forgot the name of the little stall but it's some fries thingy lah. The curry fries was superb!

Delifrance was having this 1 for 1 promo cuz it was the opening day, I bought a strawberry tart & baby took the mixed fruit tart. LOL!

We are such pigs! - This is just the beginning, trust me.

So... We ate & we were suppose to rest for "awhile" before we go down to the poolside for some sun-tanning, but when our eyes öpened, the sun was already down and we had a moon tan instead. Hahaha!

After our "moon-tanning", we dressed up & head to C.H.I.M.J.E.S for our dinner. I don't know why but I was craving for meat, so baby suggested we go for Hog's Breath Steak.

Weekend special for Oysters - $10 for half a dozen! Yummy yum yum.

So we had a fantastic dinner.

Tummy filled up with great steak + Corona - Simply Joyful. Slurps.

Headed back to the hotel & had a heart to heart talk before we had a great bubble bath with red wine. Life... La dolce vita. :)

06 Nov, Sat - Wandering around...

Being such pigs, we woke up feeling super hungry & I was having this strange craving for Sukiyaki soup! Haha, so after checking out, we head over to Marina Square to have Suki-ya buffet Steamboat!

I tell you, the Sukiyaki soup is FANTASTIC! You should try, the shabu shabu here is pretty decent for the price of 20++ per person. Yummers! I am addicted. I am so bringing my Baober Joey there.

So after the meal, the boyfriend & I were walking around and I was going on and on about how I found this new Hotel in town (opened in August only) - Wanderlust and how we should go there & stay some day.

And as the saying goes... "Becareful what you wish for cuz you just might get it!"

The boyfriend said, "why don't we stay out for 1 more night?"

The next moment I know, we were checking in for the highly anticipated (at least for me) hotel stay at.... The Wanderlust!

I felt kinda bummed that we didn't managed to get the Pink Room but Cyan is good. :) haha!
Definitely a place I will stay for a few times to try out the different rooms! The room rate of $180++ includes the minibar (2 cokes, 2 coke Zero, 2 orange juice & 2 apply juice) as well as the the semi-buffet breakfast worth S$25++ for walk in.

I requested for the Guest Relations to show me the rooms which are not taken, and they agreed! The Deluxe rooms at SGD380++ had got the Studio M Loft conncept but the design are one of a kind. Each floors are designed by different designers hence the different feel to the hotel each time a guest checks in. So after the mini hotel inspection, the boyfriend & I went to the jacuzzi for a dip. Well, just for awhile because I was expecting the jacuzzi to be filled with warm water but it was so cold! Nonetheless, we had fun Cam-whoring. haha!

Then it was back to the room to chillax...
While he was taking a shower...

They have this great expresso making machine & Ipod player... Never under estimate a boutique hotel! I had more stuffs to do as compared to my stay at Swissotel. However, we who intended to stay in and just watch TV were distraught when we found out Channel U is not available! The happening shows are all on Channel U! We ended up watch stupid Vampires Dairies & "Men Tu". hahaha!

Anyhoos, with the Sukiyaki in our stomach, we should acrually feel full, but after finish watching a great Bollywood movie - 3 Idiots in the room, we headed out to bugis to find food. hahahahaha!

We bought half a dozen of J.co donuts, which we totally finished it even before we are back at the hotel. We bought... Mongolian Spare ribs, Oyster Omeletter, Claypot tofu & $4 worth of rojak! Oh, I forgot to mention, a large Honey Green Tea from Koi Cafe as well. Hahaha! SLURPS!

I feel so fat now.

We totally enjoyed the room, the company & the food... You know, couples need to bond like this once in awhile, eat to get fat together then you go do some healthy stuffs to lose those calories. HAha! :X

It was a tough 3 weeks without him around but it was still nothing compared to his 2 months in India. It kinda strengthened our relationship & I think we are ready to move forward. :)

I enjoyed my long weekend totally & thoroughly, thanks to my sweet love. ^^

Now it is time to go bed and be prepared for another week of "shiong-ness".

We had the tormented soldier who died from war, the evil mi-si (nurse in hokkien), the pretty pirate who has got no idea that she's dead (ahem.. me.), the lady white ghost, rotten red SQ girl & her pilot lover who unfortunately died in a crash. You see, they were having sex at the cock pit & didn't notice a flock of birds flying their directions, the birds got stucked at the engine & ... Tsk tSk tsk... They all met in the island where the plane crashed. You see... the pirate & soldier were dead for years... Miss pretty pirate was dead for 136 years, poisoned by her love rival who was deeply in love with her lover Jack Sparrow. Miss SOldier, was the only female soldier who killed 18267 men before she was reportedly raped, she bite her own tongue and died in order to protect her chastity, she is back to haunt all men kind. The ah go go gal... honestly, we have no idea where this un-scary women came from but please don't be decieved by her sweet looks, she is a drunkard. She dead of over abusing alcohol & she is still drunk after she dead, still drunk as a ghost. Lady white was one of the passenger on board who was on her way to get married to her boyfriend of 13 years. As for the evil mi-si, rumours were spinned that she was sent to this forsaken island during war & was raped multiple times and one day she couldn't take it, dyed her uniform red & killed herself.

That's a Wrap!

My Journey of being a Finalist of MES 2010 ended on the 14th Oct 2010.
It was a enriching & wonderful experience that I will never ever forget.

Big hugs & utmost respect to all 17 other ladies in the finals, we put up a great show! Congrats to Assumpta, Jessebella, Didi & Myself who made it to the top 8 and to Chloe (Water), Jody (Air), Lavigne (Fire) and Maricelle (Miss Earth SG 2010) who won the top 4 titles!

Great friendships were formed during this pageant and I hope it will last! I really love my girls! ;)

I want to make a special thank you to all of you who came down & cheered for me.

My life is actually back to normal. No I am not joining another pageant, will not do that because I realise, fame, limelight & what not... they are really not my thing.

I shall continue to work hard for my year end bonus (short term planning) & promotion (long term planning), going to study hard for my degree, show more appreciation to the people who loves me , smile more with my heart, brain & liver, be a better daughter, girlfriend, sister, best friend & colleague...

Yeah.. I guess that's what I am going to.

But i know my life is not going to be just all that, it's still going to be interesting because "I love life more than life loves me!"

It's getting Closer

The Finals is drawing near and I really cannot believe that I'd lost my voice. :(

LONG LONG POST!

Seriously speaking, work is draining all the energy outta me. I have so much to share yet I simply do not have the energy to do so.

This is going to be a super duper long entry because I think a lot of my friends are losing track of what I had been up to. Short entries of many events!

As some of you may already know, I am currently part of Ms Earth Singapore 2010 pageant, sometimes I wonder to myself – what am I thinking? I’m 25, career is taking off smoothly, I should be focusing on my studies (which is more practical) instead of joining a beauty pageant.

Despite all the internal struggle & argument made within myself & a few times with my baby, I had decided to give it a shot. I need to do something for myself, to let the world know that with determination, changes could be made to your life.

“Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore, if we want to be free from problems we must learn to control our mind.”

I was weak. A simple session at the gym made me realize that it was my mind that was weak (not my body) and it has gotten stronger as I grew older. During my secondary school days, I can never finish my 2.4km run and I would rather die than attend PE lesson. I always tell myself, my body is too weak to take all these physical strain, no way, I must figure out a way to stop having PE lesson. Now, I am able to jog 8-10km in like 40mins. Not very fast but still, I managed to convince myself to overcome that “my body can’t take the running” mindset & push myself further for maximum results.

Sorry I had digressed.

Back to Ms Earth, I am going to work hard for it & do my best so that I won’t disappoint people who had shown great support & let those people who once looked down on me reflect on themselves. No one is better than someone because when we all die, we all look the same – skeletons will be skeletons, unless you can prove that your skeleton are made of gold with diamond studs all over it.

The first event was updated – Spirit of Enterprise, Golf Charity Event at Tanah Merah Country Club which I had already updated before.

The 2nd event I attended was the National Day Clean up at Lim Chu Kang.

I went for the clean up not knowing what I was signing up for. I am not a big fan of bugs, especially cockroaches, fleas, flies, ants, snakes & what not, but the Lim Chu Kang Mangrove has it all & more. After a short introduction & briefing session by the organizers & Ms Earth 2009, Valerie, we paired up & started picking up all that trash. People, you wouldn’t know the horrifying effect of throwing 1 bottle, can or plastic bag can do to the planet earth. If 1 person disposes 1 piece of plastic bag irresponsibly, imagine the amount of plastic bag accumulated at the mangrove, beaches & coastal line of various countries.

Worst, imagine fishes & other underwater wildlife starts to feed on all our trash. Aren’t we eating our own trash? Valerie said something that inspired me (not her exact words but somewhere along the line) - Before you action, take a step back & think of the impact on a larger scale.

Honestly, I didn’t know what & why I signed up for Ms Earth until that very day. I want to do my part to spread the Green message to Singapore & to the world if I could.

After an hour plus of cleaning up, we calculated 800kg of trash. CAN YOU EFFING IMAGINE THAT? Please, rewind to your primary/secondary school day when you were taught to “Reduce, Reuse & Recycle”. You don’t need me to teach you that do you?

The eve of my bday, my colleagues at HRG gave me a surprise celebration. It was pity that I had to leave cuz of the next celebration I have...
Thank you my dears! It is great joy working with all of you; I hope the team will stay close because I really do not wish to see the team collapse. I feel like a child being taken care of by a bunch of Da Ge & Da Jie, thank you all for guiding me along the way! Muuuuuacks to all of you! *he he*

Next, it was celebration with my baby.

Waraku, Novotel & Powerhouse, just the 2 of us. Baby, I feel that we can do anything & everything together. I had never felt happiness of this sort before, it has finally dawn on me that 2 people can enjoy doing everything together if they want to & love to, I can never imagine going to the club & still have so much fun with my boyfriend, sorry, I mean with JUST my boyfriend. I always sneer at couples who go club together, like… “Seriously, 2 of you? Outta your mind?”

The gift was phenomenal! Like very seriously, everyone was staring at it along Clarke quay, orchard, yishun… lol!

I love you my baby. You made me feel special, like a queen, your queen. 

Then, it was celebration with the people I love the most in the entire world, my family.
Mum, Dad, Weiting, Weitian & my half sis Yvonne.

Mum bought me the BEST mango cake ever! LIKE BEST! Can you imagine I finish 1 quarter of the cake on my own? LOL! Look at the size of it! It’s that fantastic.
Muacks to mum & dad for giving birth to me, tolerating my nonsense & what not, I will bucker up and make you proud.

After my lovelies, it was a intimate celebration with my turtle. Darling Shixuan was supposed to join but cuz of her lil imps, she couldn’t make it. We wanted to try Modesto but ended up having Japanese. Haha!
By then we were both TOO full, but… we couldn’t resist….

Birthday gift – the company for each other.

I love you turtle! Always will, thanks for being the sister I never had, my best friend, my soul mate. The only person I can tell the truth about everything to without having to fear of getting judge. Shixuan, the above applies to you too. I love you so much as well. I know you couldn’t be there, but you are always in my heart.

So that’s it for my birthday celebration, I’m short of 1 celebration with the cousins, but Corin is away, so… I guess its fine. It wouldn’t be complete anyway. We are all very busy people!

Photoshoot for MS Earth 2010 on the 21st Aug, Saturday.
I was hitting the gym religiously so that I wouldn’t look like a fat piece of lard on photoshoot day but unfortunately, my body failed me, BIG WATER RETENTION, on my FACE. BOO-HOO-HOO.

It felt as if I had abandoned my blog, really.

The past month had been CRAZY.

I barely have enough time to sleep.

Everyday, hundreds of questions run through my mind, random questions consisting of all the what ifs, whys & hows, I never really bother to pen them down becuz if I were to do that, I believe my blog would be a lot more interesting.

I wouldn't say my thoughts are interesting to all, it's just... random & I realise people love random stuffs nowaday.Freshness - is what everyone is looking for, something that happened yesterday could very well be old news.

OK I'm gonna start my random blabbering by sharing a piece of news that shook me today. A tour bus filled with Hong Kongers was held hostage in Manila, 3-4 tourist (i think) were killed during the exchanging of gun fire between the abducters & police. It just suddenly occur to me that I was once in that kind of danger, leading tours around the world, some places that are totally unknown to people. Then suddenly ... I realise another thing... I miss that kind of lifestyle. Travelling around, showing people the world, meeting people and getting to know people from all corners of the world - that, should be what my life is about.

Sigh.

Then again, going back to reality, I sincerely feel that my life isn't all that a bore, it's interesting in another way being surrounded by the people I love.

I had already lost track of what I had been doing with all these lovely people.

Let me gather my thoughts, I'll be back with a real update of my birthday celebrations, My Journey with Ms Earth 2010 & all the lil outings with my favourite people that keeps me so happy.

This week is going to be to VERY VERY busy.

A little thought...

... I use to have seems scary & unattainable.
Now that it is happening, it wasn't as scary as I thought but, I am still feeling the unattainability.

Now I'm finally ready to let my friends know - I am confirmed as one of the finalist of Ms Earth Singapore 2010.

My little journey began when a good friend Michelle Nouvelle set me up for a casting at the company she is working with. Not to disappoint her cuz she's got so much faith in me, I went ahead for the casting & bamm... I got in.

It was a blur, it is still a blur & it's gonna get blurrer.

My first event was on the 28th Jul - SOE Charity Golf Event.
I got to meet some of the girls, they are lovely.
I was expecting loads of bitchiness but I was surprise... they are all lovely lovely people.

Well, maybe the cat claws are still well-hidden. Hmmmmmm...
Whatever it is, I am just gonna take everything with a pinch of salt.
Just do what I need to do & be myself.

I hope, all my friends, who had believed in me, will continue to support & see me through this competition.

It might not mean anything to you, or you might think - Bahhh.. whatever, just another attention seeking bitch.

STILL, I would like to tell everyone that, getting to be a part of this pagaent is more like a dream come true for an use to be overweight girl like me. I'd grown through the years, met many people who taught me so much along the way.

A person with a soul, touches heart deeper than a person who is still finding it.
I have a soul in me that tells me, I am who & where I wanna be right now & the past had been thrown away long ago.

With my 25th birthday around the corner, I am happy to say - a new beginning had just begun.

The last weekend of June, we had steamboat party at Jen's place.

4rd Jul, my cousin Jason married his pretty gf of a few years. It was nothing elaborated, nothing extravagant, just simple, sweet & close.

Congrats cousin Jason! We literally grew up together, Í'm so happy that you had found the love of your life!

That very night, went partying with my good get alongs! Great peeps I got to know better through my baby. Hehe... Then again, her infectious laughters never fails to make me laugh. We need more laughters people! MORE!

It was one great night for me cuz Germany sent Argentina home with 4 goals! lol!!!

We left early cuz Powerhouse is getting boring, DJ Kzee's mix is getting TOO commercial & predictable. I prefer B.I.G on friday nights now.

Baby drove around & we decided to stop by Carls Jr for supper b4 heading to the airport to send Corin off.

Wednesday last week, went to watch Twilight with the good get alongs.
Company was fantastic, movie was a bore (I am officially an anti-twilighter), SUPPER WAS SHIOK!!!

Plain Evil.

Deleting me from FB is one great move to tell me that "War is being declare".

It's very childish, but I guess I just need to rant. I had a super bad day at work, got stalked by a bugger on my way home & when I'm home, it just doesn't feel home.

Since she always think that she contributed ALOT to the family by the just vacuuming the floor & burning joss stick to grandpa & grandma everyday, I'll just let her be.

There is really no need for you to vacuum my room, I have hands & feet - I will do it myself. There's no need for you to burn joss sticks for gonggong & mama, if they know how much grudges you have inside for doing that, they'll really feel upset that they even have a grand-child like you. I would haunt you if I were them.

There is also no need to claim credits for everything you do, if I want to claim credit, I have endless.

If you do not wish to have me as a sister, it's fine. Life is so hard trying to please the boss, please mum & dad... & what, I have to please my 13 yr old sister? Seriously, gimme a break. I don't owe anyone anything except for mum & dad, yes the boss too cuz that's where my money comes from.

Sorry to disappoint you but I realise a blissful life creates no drama.

The Lack of Update

I'd been so busy & tired but really happy.
It's the kind of happiness I would share it with the people around me, not the whole world.

Tomorrow onwards, it's gonna be 9am-6pm working hour, no more 10am - 7pm. Work is crazy, I am going crazy. I need to exercise more already, if not all the "stress food" is just gonna get to my tummy. :(((

Went Bugis with 2nd Sis to shop for baby sis's 13th Bday present.

Cousin Yiling's Belated Bday Celebration!

There's never a dull moment with my cousins.
It's been a looooooooooooooooooong time since I last laughed that hard.

Like yesterday, I was walking into the train, I know the door wass gonna close but not on me, so I just walked into it when suddenly a cheena man pushed me in & his bag got "giap"! Other than being able to "count" my data properly, I'm super proud of myself cuz I did 2 of the "impossible" mission!

1) I got my new modem working right after I sms-ed my cousin Jason "SOS I can't set up a new modem to save my life!"

2) I managed to set up a security enabled wireless network without the help of anyone. Just figured it out step by step.

I know I know, to you guys it's NOTHING, but I'm a super IT retard.
Well, you learn something new everyday isn't it?

I'm like the most IT Savvy person in the house now. HA HA!
I even created Network sharing folder for my sisters & me! Wahahaa! Now we can "work" like we're in the office! They can "park" songs in my folder etc etc...

Saturday, I met up with Jusmin at her Granny's place! Nothing beats cooking from Grannies! I miss my Grandma so much that I wanted to hug Jusmin's grandma. I use to go to Jusmin's house alot when I was in primary school and always seeing her grandma around, she haven't changed one bit! Still look the same! I wish & pray that Jusmin's grandma will be healthy and happy for a long long long long long time!

After dinner we headed down to Somerset to meet WX for our movie "When In Rome".

You know, my dear friends are crazy, I don't know about you but I'd never drink before watching a movie. Thanks to Jusmin, I got that done. hahahaa! I just realise that there's a Brotziet at Somerset 313 as well! Nice place to chill! ^^

Ok, you have to watch When In Rome if you are a fan of romantic comedy (RC)! Josh Duhamel is so charming! Lucky girl Fergie. I'm too lazy to tell you what the story is about, just go watch if you like RC ya? Even if you do not like RC, I think girls should go watch and for the sake of ogling at Josh Duhamel. Hehehe.

Sunday ... today!
I was woken up by an sms from Ms Goh Corin. I thought I was dreaming but NO! She's not coming in june for 1 week... she's coming back for 1 FRIGGING MONTH! I'm SUPER EXCITED ALD!!! June is certainly another month that I'm so so looking forward to! *Happy*

As usual, it's a stay home day for me!
Went to Northpoint Kids playground with my niece Alyssa, Cousin Cindy, my sis & my aunts. It was really fun being around that lil imp! Full of laughters and she's way too adorable! Just looking at her puts a smile on my face! Playing with her really tires me out, all the running around, pulling antics to make her laugh... aiyo... not easy being a mummy lei. I'm seriously considering whether to have a kid in the future or not. lol! It's fun playing with kids but I dunno if it's fun if it's your own? lol.

Went to walk around for abit after the playground and bought myself a sports bra. LOL. I'm so ready to hit the gym the coming week, very determined too. LOL.

Ok I'm super sleepy now even though it's like 6pm. I'm gonna go take a quick nap!

Even though tomorrow's Monday, I'm not having the blues because BLUE is a colour, not a feeling! ^^

It's been the longest 2 months and I'd been out of sorts lately.
Going crazy.
It's really one of the greatest test of patience.
But I'd always bear in mind the quote from Corinthian 13:4, and I had taught many people this hence it would be pointless if I don't apply it myself.

There are times when we are timid and shy about expressing the love we feel. For fear of embarrassing the other person, or ourselves, we hesitate to say the actual words "I love you." So we try to communicate the idea in other words.

We say 'take care' or 'don't drive too fast' or 'be good.' But really, these are just other ways of saying 'I love you,' 'you are important to me,' 'I care what happens to you.'

We'd been on the phone, listening to each other, comforting each other and updating each other about what's going on every single day. Not hearing his voice for one night will make the whole of next day so unbearable as it has become a habit for me to wanna reach home before 11.30pm and call him around 12 midnight. I have absolute no idea what do we talk about for hours everyday, I was never able to happily talk to someone of an opposite sex for that long every single day over the phone. I don't even like talking on the phone, hurts the ears alot. Now that I'm on my no. 8th call card and each card can talk up to 10-12 hours on the average, ahaha... Ironic.
I'm not complaining as that's the only thing that is keeping the both of us sane.

I believe things happened a little too fast, my friends never got the chance to know him and I never got the chance to know his friends as yet, I hope everything will turn out fine. I am just worried that due to the age gap & perception they had before, they might not welcome me. I know worrying too much aren't gon' help, I think I care about him too much to have to make him face the "challenge" of his peeps disliking me. I know how it feels to be caught inbetween friends & lover, I'd been there before and it almost tear me apart cuz I can't choose either ways. :(
I do understand why because just as how my friends are doubtful of this "new guy" in my life, I'm sure his friends will feel that way too.

Whatever it is, I kept on reminding myself that I know what's important to me and I'm keeping that in my heart, mind & soul.

Now, the serious thought... Should I or should I not get a tattoo to 'beautify' my scar on my right hip area? I'd been thinking about getting a butterfly (yes very lian but I really love butterflies) since a couple of years ago. Hmmmmmmmm... KIV til my boy's back yeah.

I can't believe I'm home on a saturday noon! I keep thinking "argh tmr have to work again, then i realise... eh... Tmr sunday!"

Life is so great not having to work on a saturday. Ha ha!

Hello hello people it's sunday again! IT felt like yesterday when I blogged about my night out with my primary school BFF Jusmin & Weixiang! Please, time ... keep flying like this from now till 7th april please!!!

What can I say?
Another wonderful weekend!
When I'm all alone, I always start to think how god had been really nice to me. He always equals out the good & bad people that I meet. Win some, lose some.

My exam for IATA... even though I know I will fail my Airfares & Ticketing Paper, I am pretty confident I will get a distinction for my Geography & General knowledge paper - I hope! ^^

After the exam, went home to take a power nap before meeting Jusmin & Weixiang for our dinner. IT was suppose to be a primary school mate gathering but I guess not many people are actually interested. Everyone of us has got our own life and own choice who we wanna stay in contact with isn't it? I'm glad I met up with both of them, the friendship is still strong. ;)

For dinner, Jusmin drove us to Northbridge road MINT - The Toy Museum. They have a restaurant name Mr Punch and it was a nice place!

It was really nice catching up on old times, who was our favourite form teachers, who were our best friends, the silly things we did & even had a great laugh reminiscing how Weixiang fell into the school pond before! LOL.

My deepest condolences goes out to my dear friend Kewei's parents & girfriend. It was a sudden departure that caught everyone by surprise. I will always remember him as a silent joker who loves pulling my pony tail during primary school days and me chasing him around the whole school for revenge.

It was Zouk after dinner. Weixiang didn't wanna join at first cuz he gotta work today - FULL DAY! After some persuasion, he decided to join us! HEhehee...! It was fun till the sudden over crowding of the ... nevermind. It was disappointing.

I can't believe we waited 20 mins for stupid 965 and also we tried the Circle Line home! It was much faster, seriously! I was just kinda stunned that the Circle Line trains are only half the length of the normal trains.

Cleaned my room, changed the bedsheet and now... I'm ready to call my baby boy before I go to bed and rest well for my big day tomorrow!

Well you see, even though I'd started working on 1st Mar, I was at Galileo's office for training for the past week. Too Tall?

Late January, I weigh 57.3kg, today, I weigh 54kg.
I lost a total of 3.3kg within 1 mth.

I shud be happy but I'm getting worried. I would be overjoyed if the fats I lost was from my belly, face & arms but no... my legs are getting skinnier & skinnier till my knee hurts alot lately.

I am starting to have problem standing for too long. F***. Standing on the trains back & forth daily is seriously something that is getting too painful.

It's time for a little bit of update I guess!

It was a fantastic weekend even though I worked on Sat & sun! I never had so much fun working at NATAS before! ^^

On friday met my girls for dinner at Bliss Cafe! Hehee... I was so stupid to take the train allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way to Dhoby Ghaut, changed to NEL line to go Hougang. I could have took the Circle Line at Bishan to Serangoon then changed to NEL, only 1 stop to Hougang! Argh! Nevermind lah, I love alone time on the train listening to my Mp3. ;)

We didn't cam-whore as much as I'd expected us to, we're too engross yakking away. Hehe.. Girls.

I love my girls, seriously. They bring me back to sanity when I'm on the verge of going insane. Heart you girls deep deep! I really hope our friendship will last, just like Carrie, Samantha, Miranda & Charlotte. ^^

NATAS Feb 2010!

Yesterday it suddenly hit me "Why am I here huh?"

I told myself I wouldn't wanna be involve in another NATAS ever again! I was that sick of it. However... all I felt being back working with Universal at the fair was Happiness. :)

Maybe it's because I am just doing free-lance and there's not that much of stress. I do feel obligated to perform however I'd only managed to close 2 deals. I still cannot outwin big & small shark lah. LOL! They are the best!

Getting together with all my ex-colleagues was really fun! Even though I'd left Universal, my heart will always be with them because it was at UTC I gained so much knowledge & so many opportunities to go to places people can only dream of going. My mum just asked me how much are they paying me hourly lah, I realised, I dun even know. Hahaha! I din even bother to ask as I just enjoy working with them! Irene, Alison, Jiesin, Janet, Jane & Sammy are really fun people! I love them! hehee...

Went around the fair and met some friends, Catherine & Lydia from Citystate, all my ex colleagues from Glaxis. I heard they are doing well and honestly I'm very very happy for them! All of them worked really hard. Cheers guys! The nightmare is partially over! Heh heh!

Universal won the NATAS Mastercard challenge once again! YAY! I hope they will invite me to the celebration! :P

Suddenly I felt that I had not rested enough! :(

I'm gonna rest early tonight because I'm very excited about starting work tomorrow even though it's just training for Gallileo. Everyone was like telling me, "HRG? Wah, stress eh."
I don't know how stress will it be, I don't think anywhere would be as stressful as working at XXX. We shall see. I'm gonna prove to people who doubted me that it's not about the stress level, it's the management of the XXX company that has got issues and MOST IMPORTANTLY - I WILL NOT BE WHERE I'M AT 10 YEARS DOWN THE ROAD.

Work is gonna make time pass by so fast and soon... it's gonne be April 7th.
2 months is a awful long wait :((, thank god for the patience given to me.
I still miss him as much as I did at the start, even more & more each passing day.
I'm patiently waiting for you to come back here & make things good.

The movie is such a tearjerker. :(

I have always love Nicholas Spark's novel!

Someone has to die in the end & it's always the good guys. WHY?!!!! - That's reality I guess.

The pairing up of Channing Tatum & Amanda Seyfried was brilliant I think cuz I love both of them! (Channing Tatum more la obviously!) Channing is charming, effortlessly. Awwwwww... He just melts my heart totally! LOL!

I can't believe I put myself through such emotional turmoil by going to watch this ALONE. *sobs*

1st - I already know it's a love story that will make me cry.
2nd - The storyline is 8% of what I'm going through right now.
3rd - I would expect couples to watch this movie together but not couples who will start making out right infront of me! Hello... get the back row or a hotel room please!

I know, they're in love... but there's a reason why you buy 2 seats, one each, if you love so much to sit on your bf's lap, just buy DVD & watch the movie at home la! People's watching you know? *digusted*

I dislike OVER displaying of affection in the public lo.

Ok that aside, What is the storyline...
The story revolves around John (Tatum) who's serving the US Army and Savannah (Seyfried), a student and how they got together by the act of fate. They met, fell deeply in love during that 2 weeks of vacation. After 2 weeks of intense dating, John had to go off for a year and Savannah back to college. They who were determined to make the relationship work started writting strings of letters to each other.

After 1 year, John came home only to inform Savannah that he felt obligated to serve the country for another 2 years due to 911 incident. She broke down but still... they continued writing to each other till 1 day... John realise, there weren't any letters for him. He waited for 2 months only to recieved a letter from Savannah that changed his life...
